Cynthia M. Barber, PhD

Cynthia M. Barber, PhD, is the director of medical and clinical affairs at PBM Products, where she specializes in developing products to improve the diabetic way of life, including GlucoBurst® Glucose Gel and GlucoBurst™ Diabetic Drink. Dr. Barber is also the chief operating officer of Beta-Pro LLC, a biotechnology company formed to help find a cure for diabetes.

Before joining PBM, Dr. Barber held numerous research positions at the University of Virginia while working as a consultant for a number of firms.

Dr. Barber is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where she earned a PhD in biochemistry and molecular genetics, as well as an MS in biological and physical science. She completed her undergraduate work at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, where she earned a BS in biology and chemistry.
