"Giving back to the community and helping children is important to me. As a father of four healthy children, I count my blessings every day. I have friends and colleagues with children who have Type 1 Diabetes and see how their lives have been forever changed by this devastating disease. There is no cure and there is no remission."

"Type 1 Diabetes is a 24-hour a day disease. There are too many people in this country who suffer from the disease and a cure needs to be found. After seeing presentations by the doctors and meeting the researchers supported by the Islet Research Replacement Foundation, I found it inspirational and have a great appreciation for the work that they do. I have made FCDF my personal charity in hopes that a cure is found soon, so that generations to come will not have to deal with this debilitating disease," states Mosman.
